Ordering Information
Please contact me if you have any questions prior to placing your order.
Note: A picture is worth a thousand words, and critical when selling items from a website. If you desire more details, whether it is additional pictures or more of a description, please do not hesitate to ask.
Sales Terms
Mark's Yankee Trader Antiques will take personal checks, bank drafts, money orders and PayPal. If you send cash it is at your own risk and Mark's Yankee Trader Antiques cannot make any guarantees regarding its safe arrival.
Note: Payments for an item are expected to be completed within 7 business days. I am always willing to make exceptions, but this is not the rule. So consider what you are doing carefully before placing the order.
Sales Tax
New York State residents are required to pay 8% sales tax on all orders.
Guarantee
I guarantee all of the items I sell to be 100% original unless otherwise stated. If the item offered for sale has in any way been altered or is not original, the description of the item will state so. In no way will Mark's Yankee Trader Antiques intentionally offer clients bad material. However, Mark's Yankee Trader Antiques is not perfect, and that is why we offer a full refund less insurance and shipping fees as long as the item is returned as originally sent.
Refund Policy
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your item purchased, you may return the item in the same condition as sent within seven business days for a full refund, less insurance and shipping fees.
Lay Away Policy
Mark's Yankee Trader Antiques offers a 90-day payment extension for an item placed on lay away. I only allow one item at a time to be placed on lay away. I will be more than happy to place additional items on lay away for you once your item is paid for. A minimum payment of 20 percent is required to hold the item for 90 days. If payment is not received within ninety days the item is restocked and the client looses the 20 percent that was used to hold the item on lay away. Remember, it is your responsibility to meet the terms of the agreement. So please remind yourself occasionally about the commitment you made.
Shipping
Mark's Yankee Trader Antiques will ship to your destination using the United States Postal System (USPS) or United Parcel Post (UPS). If you have a preference, please specify with your order. In general, Mark's Yankee Trader Antiques will choose the most reasonable rate for the seller. The weight and size of the item is stated in the description of the item. Shipping rates can be checked by accessing the USPS or UPS on the internet.
In general most items are shipped directly to the clients door by USPS or UPS. Large items (cannons, cassions, etc.) shipped need to be packed properly for delivery. I don't pay for special packaging or special carriers, so expect additional charges to be added to the item. For large items (cannons, cassions, etc.), special arrangements can be made for pick up after the item has been paid for. Occasionally, I will make exceptions for deliveries at shows but only on small items after the item is paid for.
In general, items are shipped from Mark's Yankee Trader Antiques within 2 to 3 business days of placing the order. Checks must clear my bank prior to shipping the item or items you have ordered. This may delay the shipping of your item more than 2 to 3 business days. I do attend shows. So when I do, expect items to be shipped within 3 to 5 business days.
Insurance
All items shipped will be insured for your protection unless otherwise specified by the customer, at which point the customer is at risk and completely responsible for any items lost or stolen.
Shipping Overseas
For overseas clients Air Mail Parcel post is your best bet. Rates are available on the internet by accessing the USPS website.
Guarantees for shipping items overseas is very difficult. At best Mark's Yankee Trader antiques can provide you with a receipt of shipment. In many cases insurance cannot be purchased for your shipment, therefore the risk of loss or damage is completely yours.
Mark's Yankee Trader Antiques will not ship ammunition, firearms, or ordinance of any kind overseas. The rules from country to country vary too much, and to be quite honest, I don't want to go to jail. Special arrangements can be made for delivery in the United States. The rest is entirely up to you.
