WAR 1812 BRITISH 49TH REGIMENT OF FOOT CROSS BELT PLATE. Recently purchased from an old collection in New York. Verbal provenance, found at the Battle of Cryslers Farm along the bank of the St. Lawrence River. This is in relic condition and appears to have been struck by something. Possibly a plow blade? A rare original once belonging to a soldier in Major General Sir Issac Brock's Regiment. Measures 2 3/4 inches x 2 1/8 inches. Attachments are intact as can be seen by photograph.
