British Third Model (India Pattern) Bayonet with Scabbard. The total length of the bayonet is 542 mm (21 inches). The blade length is 430 mm (16 inches), 440 mm (17 inches) with the shank. The blade width is 26.6 mm (1 inch). The socket length is 102 mm (4 inches). The bore diameter is 22.9 mm (1 inch). The stud to the muzzle measures 51.4 mm (2 inches). The markings on the blade are OUGHTON (1797 - 1805). They measure 3 mm (.118 inches). Inspector mark, Crown/31 is stamped on the blade. The socket is engraved 46. The 46 stands for the 46th issued arm.  Ciphers are 9 mm (.354 inches) high. The bayonet and scabbard are in very good condition.
