War of 1812 British Regiment De Watteville Belgic Officers Shako Plate. Water find Niagara Frontier. Includes leather shako cockade also found with the shako plate. Crown is missing. Extremely rare plate. First one I have ever seen for sale or owned. The plate measures 4 inches (101.6 mm) x 3 (76.2 mm) inches. The cockade measures 2 1/2 inches (63.5 mm) in diameter.
